Take a creative voyage to a little-known oasis along the North River in Beaufort, NC. The Oyster House is a private location open to a select group of education, arts, and marine science organizations. This is a unique opportunity for Sanford Brush & Palette Club members to explore the waterways, marshes, birds, boats and quiet places of this Down East community.
The retreat is being offered from Wednesday, May 15th to Sunday, May 19th to the first 12 members (no spouses, partners, children or pets) who register by calling Beth Bale at 919-323-6146 or emailing email@example.com. There is room for more if you bring your own sleeping gear. Be sure to tell Beth if you plan to stay the whole time or just a day or so.
Accommodations at the Oyster House are provided free of charge and facilities include 4 bedrooms (1 with a queen and 3 with 2 single beds); 3 living spaces with sofa- or day-beds; 5 bathrooms and a community kitchen. Members attending the retreat will coordinate food, supplies and duties to share for breakfast and lunch. Dinner is on your own or with the group at one of the many local restaurants.
It will be a fabulous “artsy” week for those who are serious about painting, drawing and creating art. So, check your calendar and make the call. Don’t let this chance go by.
