The month of April saw the artwork of more than 30 Sanford Brush & Palette Club members featured at the Campbell House Galleries in Southern Pines. The exhibition was called “55 Years of Art” in honor of the club’s 55th anniversary and provided a glimpse of the sparkling creativity that visitors to the upcoming Annual Art Show in October will find.
The show was beautifully curated and represented a wide array of mediums. A reception was held on April 5th from 6 to 8 pm with wine and appetizers provided by Hollie’s Catering. A beautiful floral display was designed by member, Ted Sloan. Many of the artists were on hand to talk to visitors about their art work.
The show has ended but you can still see some fabulous art around Sanford. Several local organizations provide space for artists to display their work. The Temple Theatre, Central Carolina Hospital, Lee County Enrichment Center and the Lee County Arts Council are a few venues that regularly feature SBPC artists.
A few highlights of the exhibition and reception are shown below. Photos are graciously provided by Linda Piechota.
