SBPC member and past Artist of the Year, Beverly Brookshire, led a contour drawing demonstration on October 29th, the last day of the 52nd Annual Art Show. The rules were pretty strict: Beverly would draw a portrait of the volunteer (in this case Gus from Greensboro was the guinea pig). Beverly would only look at the person, not the paper or drawing. She would do it in ink, putting the pen down on the paper and never picking it up until she was done. No peeking, one line only, and she narrated the whole process for anyone who happened to be watching (in amazement). What a great demo, Beverly!
